Handmade Goodies – Is it the current trend among consumers??? What’s going next into your shopping carts??

Are we going back to good old days??? Yes, looking at the current scenario most of us question our inner self. 

This is the question which needs to be addressed by most of us. As there has been steady growth in technology and constant new discovery, people are strongly driven towards adopting and changing their lifestyle with the new technologies. There has been a vast change in the world driven by and with the people. Change is good! But not crossing ethics and boundaries of humanity and culture carried from the centuries.Keeping a close watch  with regards to shopping behaviour of consumers in recent days, it’s been observed that most of us end up  with hand- made soaps , shampoo’s,  bags, clothes, jewellery, chocolates, biscuits, arts& crafts, pottery’s,  paintings, sandals, greeting cards, perfumed candles and many more in our shopping carts. In simple words, we have a tendency to pick up handmade goodies from stores even though they are expensive!! Astonishing isn't? 

Forget about handmade stuffs! Organic food shampoos, drugs, cosmetics have also picked up this trend. People are becoming more conscious about what they are consuming, applying on their skin.  Where are we heading towards? Is this trend going to fade away??

Let’s go back a decade ago, we wanted every damn thing to be advanced and machine made and wanted to reduce our dependency on man or in other words, cut the man power requirement and get adopted with advanced technology. Is that the same thought even today?? 

Yes it is, I agree to some extent. Without invention of these modern equipment’s we wouldn't have been the way we are now.  Everything is automated and extremely advanced in today’s world and it’s going to be more advanced in the coming days.

“We”, people are we missing on something?? Is the question. We are ready to spend that extra penny for the handmade goodies. The quality of these items are rated far more superior compared to the machine made goods. Why are people crazy behind handmade stuffs? Having in mind all these issues we conducted a research among people of age group between 20 – 40, and these were the responses.

      It makes me feel special

      They are prepared with delicacy ( jewellery or clothing) which you don’t find in machine made goods

      Feel good factor

      They taste so good and yummy considering chocolates and biscuits

      They are something different, must try!

      Makes me stand out of the crowd when im wearing it!!
      They are unique collections

      I like being different so I buy ;)

      The quality of soaps are so much better than the normal ones and one can actually see and  feel  the ingredients  they are made up off!
